We are seeking a Solutions Consultant (Networking) to join our Pre-Sales team.

We are looking for someone to provide enterprise level Cisco, Meraki and Aruba network solution designs through a range of technical Pre-Sales activities including customer meetings, proposal writing, responding to bid and tender submissions and creating both high level and low-level network design documentation. 

 

Key tasks will involve:

 

  • Translating enterprise customer needs in high- and low-level solutions design.
  • Bringing new networking technologies to market.
  • Liaising with the relevant teams within Stone to understand our products, technologies and Services.
  • Continuously helping to develop our solutions by providing feedback from the field.
  • Preparing model RFP's and response to customer RFP's.
  • Conducting training and technical workshops for customers and internal teams.
  • Understanding competitor offerings and provide input to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.
  • Representing Stone on community forums and customer facing events.
  • Handling post-sales escalation and resolve issues, by coordinating and working with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in developing Statements of Work and Bills of Materials
  • IT infrastructure design and architecture
  • Attending and lead customer business meetings with and without Business Development Managers
  • Recognising, support and assist in the scope and pricing of Professional Services work
  • Overseeing project implementations as well as being able to implement agreed design where necessary
  • Acting as a figure of technical escalation and point of guidance for implementing Engineers
  • Leading design workshops and create complex designs for Data Centres and Campus networks
  • Complying with Stone’s internal management systems and safety procedures.
  • Supporting Stone’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
  • Undertaking any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the reporting manager.
     

The suitable candidate will have a full driving licence, be CCNP certified with a desire to obtain CCIE, have a good understanding of technologies such as campus networking (L2/ L3), datacentre, cloud, collaboration, and security.

 

They should have experience of networking technologies including:

-       In depth TCP/IP knowledge and experience

-       Knowledge and experience with technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, VPN, BGP, DHCP, WAN and LAN environments, remote-access technologies,

The successful candidate should be able to lead complex technical engagements, have experience of customer requirement scoping and estimation, strong customer focused experience, explaining ideas and solutions at Senior Management and Board level, experience and expertise in Cisco, Cisco Meraki and Aruba, the ability to pick up new ideas and concepts quickly and develop them into commercial propositions, in-depth knowledge of Cisco and Cisco Meraki product sets experience working in a customer facing design and implementation role and a good understanding of some or all of the following additional DNA Centre, SecureX, ISE, Umbrella SD-WAN, NG-FW, experience of customer interactions with technical staff. network design and best practices.

They should also be able to create high-quality proposal and architecture design documentation from customer engagement, HLD and LLD and experience using Cisco Enterprise Networking as a whole, experience in technical delivery work including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting etc.

 

It is also desired but not essential to be CCIE qualified, have experience of coaching and mentoring others, a good understanding go Cisco switches routers and firewalls, demonstratable consultative technical selling skills, knowledge of Sales cycle, experience using Cisco Security supported products such as ISE, FirePOWER and ASA. They should ideally have Managed Service experience and sound skills and understanding of protocols including OSPF, RIPv2, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VPLS, IPSEC, VPN, SSL VPN, VOIP, SIP Trunking, FCOE and iSCISI.
