Assessment Centres held will be being held weekly from Tuesday 28th May with start dates beginning from the first week of June.

At Stone Technologies Limited, we are recruiting for temporary staff in the Production, Warehouse and ITAD teams, carrying out work such as assembling or dismantling computer equipment, receiving and dispatching goods, working as a Drivers' mate, quality checking computer equipment, sorting incoming goods etc. We are based at Acton Gate, Stafford (by the M6, junction 13).
We have ideal roles for people who are looking for work over the Summer holidays – School leavers, University students etc., however these roles are open to all.
Full training is provided to all new starters.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with earlier finishes on a Friday. There may also be a requirement for Saturday work on occasions, dependent on workload.
Work pattern: These are currently (but may change)
08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00 Friday
Shifts are dependent on the month, the department and the workload.
Overtime: Must undertake a requirement to do overtime from time to time, as required by the department, as follows:
- Overtime of 1 hour with ½ day notice (same day).
- Overtime of 2 hours with 24 hours’ notice.
- Saturday working may be required (with appropriate notice).
Dates: This scheme will run from the first week of June and is currently scheduled to finish until the end of August.
We are looking for applicants who can work at least 9 consecutive weeks, up to 13 consecutive weeks.
Please note, there may be potential for permanent opportunities for temporary staff who perform well during this period, upon completion of the initial temporary period.
Pay: £11.55 per hour paid monthly on the last working Friday of every month – individuals will be required to work a week in arrears as pay is calculated on hours worked.
Notice period: 1 week.
Holiday pay: There must be no holiday booked or taken during the period. Accrued holiday pay inclusive of customary holidays will be paid in the final salary payment at the end of the summer period.
Sick pay: Statutory sick pay scheme
Work wear: Uniform and appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided.
The applicant:
- Must be over 16 years of age.
- Must have a clear Disclosure & Barring Service check – this is mandatory for all employees at Stone Technologies and will be carried out as a requirement of employment.
- Must work for the whole of the Summer period – No holidays booked or taken.
- May be required to work in any department within Operations and on any shift pattern.
- Must meet any KPIs set by the Department manager or supervisor.
- May be required to go out with Drivers to assist with IT Asset Disposal collections.
- Must maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Must undertake a requirement to do overtime from time to time, as required by the department
