Converge UK wins Gold at the Green World Awards 2026

On 13th April 2026, Converge UK attended the iconic Cardiff Castle to receive a Global Gold Award in the Green World Award for Environmental Best Practice.

This is a proud and important achievement for us, as it recognises the enhancements and improvements we’ve been making since receiving the Silver Award in 2023.

We have a bold mission here at Converge Technology Solutions. That’s to be recognised as an international leader in sustainable IT solutions. That means going the extra mile to embed sustainability practices into our business model, and we’re always honoured when our work is recognised.

The Green World Awards are a major international awards program that recognises and celebrates outstanding environmental best practices from companies, communities, and governments worldwide.

They are considered one of the top environmental awards globally, with awards presented in a different host country each year.

Building on the Silver achievement, we have:

• Developed our internal reporting systems to track over 139 environmental and social outcomes from devices recycled to hours spent on environmental volunteering projects.
• Introduced an industry-leading Carbon Reporting tool, which details the carbon footprint of every product we sell. Helping to inform customer sustainability procurement choices.
• Been awarded Global IT Refurbisher of the year.
• Installed solar panels at our HQ and switched to a renewable energy supplier for the rest of our energy needs.
• Planted over 22,000 trees in partnership with Ecologi (with one tree planted for every IT recycling collection we make).
• Expanded our staff volunteering programme with over 2,700 hours dedicated to volunteering, with all staff eligible for up to 3 paid volunteering days annually.
• Actively forged many sustainability partnerships with public and private sector organisations, enabling us to support our customers in their sustainability journey.

We are delighted to achieve this accolade. Achieving global recognition for our commitment to environmental best practice demonstrates we are delivering our sustainability promise and supporting our customers, suppliers and partners alike. We remain committed to further developing an unrivalled position in the world of sustainable IT.
