Overview
Aruba Instant On 1960 switches are advanced Gigabit stackable switches with intelligent management and fixed configuration. Perfect for small and growing businesses, they are affordable and easy to deploy. Designed to adapt to business growth, they make it easy to add employees, systems and applications. Aruba Instant On 1960 switches are designed to support today's bandwidth-intensive applications, such as voice and video conferencing. They ensure constant connectivity to enhance user experience and application performance. They can be managed in several ways: local web interface or Instant On mobile application and cloud-based web portal.
  • Simplify network management by stacking up to 4 Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and managing them via a single IP address
  • The Aruba 1960 aggregation switch features multiple 10G Base-T and SFP+ ports, providing 10G connectivity to servers, networked storage devices and access switches
  • For bandwidth-hungry environments, 10GBase-T and SFP+ uplink ports deliver lightning-fast network speeds and virtually eliminate traffic bottlenecks
  • Aruba Instant On mobile application and/or cloud-based web portal for simplified on-site or remote network management
High-performance Gigabit with 10 GbE networking for advanced small businesses The Aruba Instant On 1960 switch series includes four 10GbE ports for connection to servers, networked storage devices or other switches. Two 10GBASE-T connections provide 10 GbE Category 6a copper cable for simple, affordable high-bandwidth connections over distances of up to 100 meters. With PoE models, PoE power of up to 30 W is available for Class 4 PoE devices such as access points, surveillance cameras and VoIP phones, and PoE power of up to 60 W is available for Class 6 PoE devices such as pan and tilt zoom cameras and IP video phones. Simplified network deployment and management for small businesses The Aruba Instant On 1960 range of switches can be deployed via two management modes: Instant On cloud management (access via a mobile app and/or web portal) and the local web user interface. Each switch has a detachable label, like a luggage tag, on its front panel. The label includes a QR code containing the switch's identification information (SKU number, SKU name, serial number and MAC address) to facilitate switch integration via the Instant On mobile application. Ease of use thanks to cloud-managed stacking The Aruba Instant On mobile app and web portal facilitate managed stacking via the cloud - simply follow the recommendations to stack up to four Aruba Instant On 1960 switches and manage them as a single entity. The Aruba Instant On mobile app automatically detects elements, making it easy to remotely configure and manage multiple stack elements. Automated configurations and streamlined workflows enable users to manage all stack elements via a single dashboard, without having to reboot devices. Enhanced security to protect your network The Aruba Instant On 1960 range of switches lets you use VLANs and access control lists to define the limits of data visible to different users. Use 802.1X with a RADIUS server to ensure that only known, authorized users can access your network. It supports remote denial-of-service (DOS), which monitors and protects the network against malicious attacks.
