Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) provides a superior storage solution. With some storage requirements escalating and others becoming more complex, factors such as flexibility, performance, increased reliability, greater density, security, scalability and accessibility are more critical than ever. SAS Midline hard drives are ideal for servers or external storage for high-capacity, non mission-critical environments with less than 40% workloads requiring economical reliability (about twice that of entry drives) and redundant data paths to the drive, e.g. disk backup, archival, reference, and other highly available applications.
