Overview
The Dell PowerEdge 2950 is a 2U rackmount server that uses the Dell combination rail kit. This rail kit has been improved from earlier versions by providing the ability to install in both a square and round holed rack. This is accomplished by a rotating assembly on the ends of the slide rails. It's this rotating assembly that can cause issues with some installations depending on the profile of the mounting posts. This fully sliding rail kit can negate these issues and offer all of the same benefits as the Dell rail.
