Overview
Fabric interconnects create a redundant dual network fabric that connects to Cisco UCS virtual interface cards (VICs) in the server nodes. These cards set up a programmable I/O infrastructure. The number and type of I/O interfaces can be configured automatically on demand, improving staff efficiency and speeding up operations. Programmable I/O infrastructure dramatically reduces the number of network adapters, cables and switches required.
