Converge are in the race to be Commonwealth Champions for CSR

The Commonwealth Games run in Glasgow from July 22nd to August 2nd 2026 and Converge will be there! We’re excited to be amongst the winners for The Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards 2026.

The awards are a unique opportunity for any company in any Commonwealth country to earn global recognition for their environmental efforts or for their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Projects do not have to combine both aspects as there are two separate awards, one for the environment and one for CSR, companies can win a trophy for awards in both sectors.

In keeping with Commonwealth Games tradition, there will be Gold, Silver and Bronze awards and while the final result is yet to be revealed, we are honoured to have been invited to attend the award ceremony on Friday 31st July. It feels particularly special that the games are in Glasgow as our Bathgate site is based in the city with Paul McDavitt, our ITAD Operations Site Manager in Glasgow, attending on behalf of the business.

Converge’s approach to corporate social responsibility has always been to give equal importance to environmental and social responsibility goals. Whether that’s our local volunteering programme, national volunteering like that with Chapter One, our work to cut environmental impacts such as CO2 emissions and e-waste or our broad commitment to being a responsible employer, as exemplified by our commitment to being part of the Care Leaver Covenant for example.

The Commonwealth Environment & CSR Awards are run by The Green Organisation, which was set up in 1994 to fill a void, as no-one at the time was recognising and encouraging any positive environmental and social value action from the business community. Converge is proud to be part of this movement for change.
